*J&K Students Welfare Forum commemorates Pulwama Martyrs Day*

Baramulla, Feb 14: To pay tributes to the martyred CRPF Jawans, who lost their lives in the Pulwama terror attack, Pulwama, Martyrs Day was organised today by Jammu and Kashmir students welfare forum at Kashmir University’s North campus in collaboration with Uplona Rashtriya Rifles, under the aegis of Headquarters 10 Sector Rashtriya Rifles/ Headquarters Counter Insurgency Force (Kilo).
The event was organised by Jammu and Kashmir Students Welfare Forum in collaboration with the Indian Army.
The organizers of the event said that the entire nation was heartbroken on 13th Feb 2019 when 40 valiant Indian soldiers were martyred when a cowardly suicide bomber, sponsored by Pakistan based terror group, Jaish-e-Mohammad attacked a convey of armed forces at Pulwama.
“Today the nation is observing the third anniversary of the terror attack and remembering the supreme sacrifice of the 40 brave men of CRPF who attained martyrdom in Pulwama,” the organizers said.
The guests who were present on the occasion included Brig Alok Dash, Sena Medal, Commander Hyderbeg Sector Rashtriya Rifles, Mr Mumtaz Peerzada, Assistant commissioner of Revenue, Mr Touseef Raina, Mr Amir Sheikh, Mr Hamid Bhat and overall organisers Mr Kamran and his team of young stalwarts.
The audience of over 150 youth including 21 NCC cadets also attended the event.
The event started with lighting the lamp in remembrance of the martyrs, followed by two minutes of silence.
Various volunteer youth performed and displayed their talent on stage including a patriotic song by Mr Iqbal Hussain Mir depicting the valour of our brave soldiers and an eye-opener speech by Mr Ishfaq Hussain Mir.
The event came to a closer with National Anthem sung by all.
The event was organised adhering to all safety and social distancing protocols. The event has gone a long way in strengthening the bond of mutual understanding, respect and brotherhood between Awam & Jawan.
