Awantipora 03 January 2025: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from thciety, Awantipora police rested two drug Peddlers and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
During the Nakahecking in the ea of Police Station Awantipora, the lice party unwas der the supervision of SHO Police Station Awantipora Insp. Khalid Fayaz arrested two PepeddlersDuring the search, officers were able to recover 12.02 grams of brown sugar-like substance from their possession. The arrested persons have been identified as:
1) Muzaffer Ahmad Dar S/o Mohd Sadiq Dar resident of Bonpora Lethpora.
2) Riyaz Ahmad Mir S/o Abdul Gaffar mir R/o Chati Mohalla Khunmoh Pantha Chowk.
Accordingly, case FIR NOs. 1/2025 & 2/2025 under relevant sections of the law have been registered at Police Station Awantipora, nd further investigation has been initiated.
Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.
