Stormy Winds Along with Rain Damages 80 Residential Houses in Beijhbhera, Anantnag

Srinagar, July 28: A strong winds and rain storm hit some of the areas of Beijhbhera area in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district in Kashmir valley on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the concerned Tehsildar Ghulam Rasool Bhat, “around eighty (80) residential houses and also Apple orchards suffered huge damage during the rain and wind storm”.
“I am assessing the damage in residential houses, paddy fields and apple orchards” added Ghulam Rasool during his visit in the area.
The area where the property and crops suffered maximum damage are Bewra,krandigam, Thajiwara, Katoo, Aswara, Satkipora, Veer, Guri, Aader, Gund Navroz, Katereteng, Batengoo and Wabzan.
In addition to this hundreds of trees fell on the roads disrupting the roads connectivity and electricity in the area.
In Wabzan ten goats also died during the stormy winds belonging to Mohammad Abdullah Bajard and Mohammad Latief Bajard.
On the other the areas in Tral Bala of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district suffered partial damage which include Dud Marg, Zajkhud, Zaedhed and Branpathri.
