TRF, LeT militants arrested in Srinagar, Doda

Srinagar, Feb 19: Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested a TRF militant from the Eidgah area in the old city. One pistol has also been recovered from the arrested militant who police claimed hails from the Kulgam district of south Kashmir.

 A joint team of police and CRPF following credible inputs arrested the TRF militant who was tasked to carry out target killing in the Eidgah area.

A formal case in this regard has been registered and an investigation set into motion, police said.

 “He belongs to Kulgam district of south Kashmir and had come to carry out target killing in the area”, added police.

Meanwhile, another person was arrested in Doda with a Chinese pistol, two magazines and nine rounds of ammunition. He was identified as 26-year-old Aadil Iqbal Bhat from Sazan.
