L-G hails Class XII topper, says education govt's priority

Jammu, Feb 20: Lieutenant Governor (L-G) Manoj Sinha hailed Aroosa Parvaiz, Class XII topper from Kashmir zone, in the ‘Awaam Ki Awaaz’ radio program on Sunday. “It is a remarkable feat that will inspire youngsters in the years to come," he said.

The L-G dedicated this month’s episode to the young achievers of the UT. He also congratulated others who have passed Class X and XII exams.

Referring to the suggestion of Sheeba Nair of Oasis NGO on post-Covid educational reforms, Sinha said education and health of children were the biggest responsibilities of the administration.

Responding to the several suggestions of J&K residents on different issues, Sinha passed directions to the officials concerned to take necessary action.

 The L-G welcomed the suggestion made by Rahul Kumar from Samba for the PPP model to bridge the digital divide and create an enabling environment for digital inclusion. He said the government was committed to removing all the social imbalances.
