International Women's day Celebrated at BHSS Uri

March 8, 2022:- A programme on the celebration of International Women's day under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav today was organised by the female staff of this institution. The function was inaugurated by the Principal Mr Mushtaq Sopori and presided over by Miss Ferhana Executive Officer Municipal Council Uri. Among the staff members of the initial tuition Mrs  Amardeep Kour,  Mrs Neelofar Jabeen, Mrs Arifa Banday, Mrs Humaira Manzoor, Mrs Nazia Gul, Miss Shahida Masrat and Mrs Anwar Jan were present on the occasion. Many noted women personalities es and a large gathering of students also attended the function.

   Underlining t  role and importance of women in the changing world, especially during the COVID pandemic, Mr Mushtaq Sopori Principal BHSS Uri said that while COVID has havoc on all sections of the society and women haven its worst hit, then there is an urgent need to bring to light the tremendous efforts by women andaroundarround the world in shaping a more equal future and recovery from COVID-19 pandemic. Mr Mushtaq Sopori in his inaugural speech also urged that the women section of the society should not be ignored anycast as they equally share their abilities in the development of the nation. Miss Ferhana also spoke on the occasion and said that the main purpose to organise this function is to awareness among women folk about their rights and responsibilities the society. 

On the o, occasion the male staff members of the institution extended special greetings wishes to their female colleagues also. The students also gave their speeches through which they highlighted the important role of women in the contemporary world. The function concluded with the vote of thanks presented by Mrs Amardeep Kour.
