Army man goes missing in Budgam

Srinagar, March 8: An army personnel of JAKLI has gone missing from central Kashmir’s Budgam district last evening, sources said.

They said the army personnel of JAKLI identified as Sameer Ahmad Malla son of Mohammad Yaqoob Malla, a resident of Lokripora Khag area been missing since last evening from his native village”

The army personnel posted in Jammu was on leave.

A police official while confirming the incident said efforts are on to trace the missing army man.

However, the father of missing army personnel said it will be premature to say that his son is missing. “He might have gone to see his relatives. His wife had to undergo surgery and that is why he visited home. He was in touch with us and last evening he called his mother and then his phone went off,” Muhammad Yaqoob Malla said.
