Six districts reports 12 positive cases as COVID-19 ebbs in J&K


Srinagar, March 17: Jammu and Kashmir reported 12 new positive cases of novel Corona-Virus or COVID-19 including 06 from Jammu and 06 from Kashmir pushing the tally to 453505 in the Union Territory.

Moreover, 19 more COVID-19 patients have also recovered who have been discharged from various hospitals including 13 from Jammu and 06 from Kashmir divisions.

According to the media bulletin on novel Corona-Virus, no new case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases stands at 51 across J&K.

On COVID vaccination, 40,179 doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to 2,17,73,394.

Of the total 453505 positive cases, 156 are Active Positive (50 in Jammu and 106 in Kashmir divisions), 448599 have recovered and 4750 died including 2327 in Jammu and 2423 in Kashmir divisions.

The Bulletin further said that out of 23954072 test results available, 453505 samples have tested positive and 23500567 samples have been tested as negative till date. Besides, 35910 COVID tests have been conducted in last 24 hours.

Till date 6238150 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 33912 persons in home quarantine including facilities operated by government, 156 in isolation and 459268 in home surveillance. Besides, 5740064 persons have completed their surveillance period.

Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases reported today, the Bulletin said that Srinagar reported four fresh cases, Budgam and Anantnag reported one new case each while as Baramulla, Kupwara, Pulwama, Bandipora Kulgam, Ganderbal and Shopian reported no fresh cases for today.

Similarly, Jammu reported 03 new cases, Doda reported 02 fresh cases and Kishtwar reported one new case while as Rajouri, Ramban, Poonch, Kathua, Reasi, Samba and Udhampur reported no fresh cases for today.

Moreover, the bulletin also highlights that against the availability of 4838 dedicated level 1 & level 2 COVID beds, only 02 (0.04%)  is occupied.
