COVID-19: One dies, 33 fresh cases reported in J&K

Srinagar, Mar 04: Jammu and Kashmir Friday reported 33 fresh cases pushing the number of active cases to 412 while one death has also been reported in the last 24 hours in the Union Territory.
With one more death, the death toll in J&K has reached 4,749 and 33 fresh positive cases reported on Friday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 453,167.
Among 33 new cases, 18 reported from Kashmir and 15 from Jammu divisions of the Union Territory, adding that the total number of positive cases in the Kashmir division have reached 287,130 including 284,513 recoveries and 2,423 deaths while as a total number of positive cases in the Jammu division has reached to 166,037 including 163,493 recoveries and 2,326 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 412 including 194 from the Kashmir division and 218 from the Jammu division.
With 83 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 448,006 which is 98.86 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 09 from Srinagar, 04 from Baramulla, 00 from Budgam, 02 from Pulwama, 02 from Kupwara, 00 from Anantnag, 01 from Bandipora, 00 from Ganderbal, 00 from Kulgam and 00 Shopian in Kashmir division while as 15 from Jammu division include 12 from Jammu district, 00 from Udhampur, 00 from Rajouri, 02 from Doda, 00 from Kathua, 00 from Samba, 01 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi," officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus were reported in the UT and the tally stands at 51.
According to officials figures, 102,261 positive cases including 907 deaths and 101,225 recoveries are from Srinagar, 37,592 including 304 deaths and 37,256 recoveries are from Baramulla, 34,803 including 34,561 recoveries and 237 deaths are from Budgam, 18,418 including 18,215 recoveries and 201 deaths are from Pulwama, 21,719 including 174 deaths and 21,535 recoveries are from Kupwara, 22,419 including 22,200 recoveries and 219 deaths are from Anantnag, 13,675 cases including 13,549 and 118 deaths are from Bandipora, 13,675 including 13,549 recoveries and 84 deaths are from Ganderbal, 16,313 including 16,187 recoveries and 119 deaths are from Kulgam and 6,304 including 6,243 recoveries and 60 deaths are from Shopian.
In the Jammu division, 76,042 including 74,681 recoveries and 1,222 deaths are from Jammu district, 14,762 including 14,613 recoveries and 147 deaths are from Udhampur, 12,799 including 12,547 recoveries and 249 deaths are from Rajouri, 11,501 including 11,306 recoveries and 144 deaths are from Doda, 11,404 including 11,232 recoveries and 166 deaths are from Kathua, 9,083 including 8,956 recoveries and 125 deaths are from Samba, 5,880 including 5,832 recoveries and 46 deaths are from Kishtwar, 7,738 including 7,621 recoveries and 110 deaths are from Poonch, 8,127 including 8,055 recoveries and 69 deaths are from Ramban and 8,701 including 8,650 recoveries and 48 deaths are from Reasi.
According to the daily bulletin on Corona-Virus 6,159,017 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 32,856 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 412 persons are in isolation.
It says, 5,669,581 persons have completed the surveillance period and 451,419 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 23,448,611 samples are available. Out of 23,448,611, the number of samples tested negative stands at 22,995,444 while 453,167 have tested positive, among them 412 cases are active, 448,006 have recovered and 4,749 persons have died.
