Kashmir receives intermittent rainfall, flight operation resumes completely Sgr-Jmu highway opens for traffic, weather to improve from Sat

Srinagar, Feb 25: Amid intermittent light rainfall in Kashmir parts, the flight operations resumed completely while the Srinagar-Jammu highway, the only road connecting the Valley with the st of the country, was thrown open for vehicular movement on Friday.
Director Srinagar International Airport, Kuldeep Singh said the flight operation resumed completely with improved disability.
Earlier, 41 flights on Wednesday and eight flights to and fro Srinagar on Thursday were cancelled due to poor visibility.
Moreover, the Srinagar-Jammu highway was thrown open for vehicular movement today.
As per the Meteorological department, several areas of Kashmir experienced intermittent light rainfall today while the weather conditions would improve from tomorrow.
“There is no major forecast of snowfall till the end of February,” the MeT official said.
Pertinently, Kashmir received the season's first major snowfall, bringing life to sta and still as both the air and surface traffic remained affected for two straight days.
