Kupwara, Feb 18: In a significant step towards strengthening emergency medical services in the district, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ms. Ayushi Sudan, inaugurated a state-of-the-art Critical Care Ambulance at Quality Health Care Hospital, Bramri, on Tuesday. The initiative aims to enhance the region’s medical response system by providing advanced life-saving support to critically ill and trauma patients.
Equipped with ventilators, cardiac monitors, oxygen support, and other advanced life-support systems, the newly launched ambulance is designed to bridge the gap between primary healthcare centers and tertiary hospitals, ensuring timely medical intervention for patients in need.
Addressing the gathering, DC Kupwara Ms. Ayushi Sudan emphasized the importance of efficient emergency medical services, particularly in remote and underserved areas. She stressed the need for well-equipped ambulances and trained medical personnel to provide rapid and effective healthcare support during emergencies.
The event was attended by Principal GMC Handwara, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kupwara, and SSP Kupwara Kh Jeelani, who all lauded the initiative. They acknowledged that the introduction of the Critical Care Ambulance will significantly improve healthcare accessibility, ensuring that patients receive the necessary treatment without delay.
Dr. Ab Majeed Wani, Managing Director of Quality Health Care Hospital, assured that the ambulance service would be operational 24/7, ensuring that critically ill patients receive immediate medical attention, especially in life-threatening situations.
Following the inauguration, DC Kupwara inspected the ambulance, interacted with medical staff, and reviewed its facilities, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to improving emergency healthcare infrastructure in the district.
The launch of this Critical Care Ambulance Service marks a crucial milestone in Kupwara’s healthcare landscape, promising enhanced medical response capabilities and better patient outcomes for the people of the region.
