Mega Enrollment Drive Held at BHS Baderher, Handwara

Handwara,Mar,19: A Mega Enrollment Drive was successfully organized at Government Boys High School Baderher under the jurisdiction of Education Zone Handwara. The initiative aimed to boost student enrollment in government schools while sensitizing parents about the importance of quality education.

 

The event was presided over by District Education Planning Officer (DEPO) Mohammad Iqbal Shah along with Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Handwara Shamus Din Samoon, Principal BHSS Handwara, Principal BHSS Waisa Rafiq Ahmad Mir, and ZEPO Handwara Satesh Garov. Their collective efforts played a crucial role in fostering a positive environment for the drive, strengthening the bond between schools and the local community.

 

Several dignitaries, including officials from the ZEO office, BHS Baderher staff, ZNO Handwara, and Heads of Institutions (HOIs) from Cluster Bandeymohalla, actively participated in the drive. Syed Javed, HOI BHS Baderher, addressed the gathering, highlighting the critical role of parents and society in shaping children’s education. Teachers from various cluster schools, parents, and School Management Committee (SMC) members also marked their presence.

 

During the program, teachers and officials shared valuable insights with parents, emphasizing the benefits of government schooling. Speaking to the media, ZEO Handwara reassured parents of the department’s commitment to providing quality education at their doorsteps, ensuring every child receives the necessary support to thrive. Meanwhile, DEPO Kupwara urged parents to place their trust in government schools, advocating for a strong focus on moral education alongside academics.

 

To mark the occasion, newly enrolled students were warmly welcomed with garlands, notebooks, and toffees, making the event memorable for both children and parents. The Mega Enrollment Drive in Handwara stands as a testament to the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the education system and encourage greater participation from the community.
