Handwara, Feb, 25: In a decisive action against terrorism, the Handwara Police have attached properties belonging to two terror handlers based in Pakistan. The operation was carried out after obtaining an attachment order from the Hon’ble Additional Sessions Court, Handwara. The attached properties include 3 Kanals and 12 Marlas of land, valued in lakhs.
The properties belong to Tahir Ahmad Peer, son of Shamus-ud-din Peer, resident of Badrah Bala Qaziabad and Mohd Ramzan Ganie, son of Mohd Abdullah Ganie, resident of Ganapora Qaziabad.
The action has been taken under Section 88 CrPC (83 Central) in connection with FIR No. 73/2011, registered under Sections 2/3 of the EIMCO Act and 121A RPC at Police Station Kralgund.
During the course of investigation and enquiry, authorities identified these properties as belonging to absconding terror handlers. As per legal provisions, properties of individuals involved in terrorism and anti-national activities can be attached to deter their influence and disrupt their operations.
The attachment of properties sends a strong message to terror handlers and their associates that the security forces remain committed to eliminating terrorism from the region. This action is part of a larger strategy to crack down on terror funding and support networks operating from across the border.
Authorities have reiterated their zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism and affirmed that such measures will continue against individuals involved in anti-national activities.
