Srinagar Man’s Body Recovered From Jhelum After 17 Days

SRINAGAR: The body of a man who had jumped into the Jhelum River last month was retrieved on Saturday, officials said.
They said that the body of the deceased, identified as Nazir Ahmed Matoo, son of Ali Mohd Matoo, a resident of Tenbagh Eidgah, Srinagar, was recovered from the Jhelum River at Shalteng bridge by the Police.
The man had reportedly jumped from Safakadal bridge on February 29 this year.
The body has been shifted to a hospital and will be handed over to family after medico-legal formalities. (KNO)
