JKNC won on Anti-BJP stance, then showered shawls on BJP leaders: Imran Reza Ansari
Contrasts Omar Abdullah with Mamta Banerjee, Stalin while stating 'Other opposition CMs don't beg'
Srinagar, April 4: In a strong critique issued today, Former Minister and JKPC General Secretary Imran Reza Ansari has accused the ruling National Conference of betraying voter trust and compromising on their core electoral promises.
Ansari highlighted the stark contradiction between JKNC's campaign rhetoric and post-election actions, noting that despite winning on an explicitly "Anti-BJP, Pro-370 stance," JKNC leadership immediately rushed to Delhi to pay homage to the BJP leadership with ceremonial shawls.
"Their first act after winning was betraying those who voted for them and venerating those against whom they sought votes," Ansari stated, drawing unfavorable comparisons with other opposition chief ministers like Mamta Banerjee and M.K. Stalin who have maintained principled stands against central authority.
JKPC General Secretary expressed particular disappointment with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah's recent response to governance challenges, stating: "I thought he would threaten to resign as a token gesture. No, he has threatened to work on the old pay and grade. What a shame."
