Handwara, April,07: In A vibrant display of sportsmanship and community engagement, Handwara Police successfully concluded a football tournament under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2024-25 at Badreher Ground, Handwara. The final match, played between Kirmani Football Club (Langate) and Bakihaker Football Club, witnessed an energetic contest with Kirmani FC clinching victory with a 3-0 scoreline.
The tournament drew massive public interest, as spectators turned up in large numbers to support their teams, adding to the excitement and spirit of the event.
The closing ceremony was graced by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Handwara, Shri Mushtaq Ahmad Chowdhury (JKPS), along with other senior officers. Trophies and medals were awarded to the winning and runner-up teams, while all participating teams were lauded for their exemplary performance and sporting spirit.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Handwara highlighted the role of such initiatives in building strong police-public relations and providing positive platforms for youth.
