Baramulla, Jan 29: BJP District President Raja Waqar, along with party leaders, welcomed Union Minister for Industries, Smt. Shobha Karandlaje, during her visit to Baramulla.
The delegation raised concerns over youth struggling to secure soft loans under PMEGP for setting up industrial units, alleging that banks are reluctant to provide financial support. They also highlighted the availability of vast land for industrial development but lamented the lack of industrial growth in the district.
A key demand was the establishment of an industrial estate in the Uri Assembly Constituency, to which Smt. Karandlaje assured necessary action. She also stressed the need for effective implementation of central schemes for youth empowerment in Baramulla.
The Minister listened to all concerns and pledged her full support. [KNT]
