Javed Naseem Masoodi Assumes Charge as ADC Handwara, Promises Transparent and Efficient Governance

Handwara,04: Senior JKAS officer Javed Naseem Masoodi officially assumed charge as the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Handwara on Friday, marking the end of a nearly four-month administrative void in the sub-division. The position had remained vacant since November 7, 2024.
Masoodi was accorded a warm welcome at the ADC Office by Tehsildar Handwara Zeeshan Khan along with other senior officials of the sub-division. Upon taking charge, he conducted a comprehensive inspection of various sections of both the ADC Office and the Tehsil Office in Handwara. During the visit, he interacted with the staff and officers, underlining the need for prompt public service delivery, transparency, and administrative accountability.
Addressing the officers and staff, Masoodi said, “It is an honour to serve the people of Handwara. My priority will be to ensure a responsive and efficient administration that remains accessible to every citizen. Together with my team, I aim to strengthen grassroots governance and address local issues in a timely manner.”
Known for his professional integrity and proactive approach, Masoodi brings a wealth of administrative experience to his new role, having previously served in various key capacities within the district.
Officials expressed optimism that his leadership would bring renewed focus to core administrative areas such as development planning, grievance redressal, and improved inter-departmental coordination. His assumption of charge also comes at a crucial time when the administration is preparing for a series of developmental and public outreach initiatives in the region.
The appointment of Javed Naseem Masoodi is expected to provide much-needed administrative stability and momentum to ongoing governance efforts in Handwara.
